On the Monday, 20th of June 2022, Rosie Carver, owner of SRM Community Fund, made history as she abseiled down the majestic Wells Cathedral in Somerset.

The Wells Cathedral, built in the 13th century, is an impressive Gothic structure and is a stunning example of medieval architecture. The cathedrals North-West tower stands 124ft (37 metres) high and was the perfect venue for Rosie's daring abseil.

Rosie, who was determined to raise money for Citizens Advice Mendip, was able to raise a fantastic sum of £660. This money will go a long way in helping the charity provide advice and support to those in need.

Rosie made the descent with the help of a professional abseiling team, who ensured that all safety protocols were strictly followed. She took to the task with great enthusiasm, and the journey down the cathedral was a success.

The event was a great success, and Rosie is delighted to have been able to raise such a great amount for Citizens Advice Mendip. We hope that this event will be a source of inspiration to others and encourage more people to take part in similar charitable events in the future.
